John Milton responds to Tony's previous request for poems and poets on October 9, 1968 by sending along, with this letter, five works of his own (a list of these, which are not included with this item, is located in the upper left hand corner in red). The first paragraph discusses a few of the listed poems, while the next two paragraphs discuss local poets. Milton has only a few he can recommend (Freya Manfred is the only individual specifically listed) to the 5th Horseman Poetry Magazine. Milton then responds to Tony's inquiry regarding a proposed regional anthology by Dick Hampsten with more questions. Milton requires more details on the scope of the anthology before recommending anyone. As for his own work many of Milton's pieces are tied up in his fourth book, which as of October 1968 is two years overdue. He finishes the letter by discussing his writing conference schedule.
