|Item Description||The September 1939 newsletter from the South Dakota Council of Christian Education begins with a number of announcements and notices on the first page. Topics range from a congratulatory message to McCook County for a half century of service to a new poster contest. The second page is dedicated to a reissuing of the "call to action" for schools to join in the Council's Honor Sunday School program. This message is continued on page five. Pages three and four are devoted to Reverend Bayles' lengthy article illustrating the need for proper leadership education. Page five and six list definitions and goals of achievement for the various honor positions and titles the Council has developed. The seventh page is dominated by the June through August financial summary.|
