|Item Description||This March 7, 1864 special order lists officers whom needed to report to Little Rock, Arkansas, as soon as possible.|
|Collection Description||This is a part of the larger Robert G. Smith Collection available at the Center for Western Studies. This collection of Civil War papers regarding the Kansas 9th and 7th Regiment comprise the majority of the existing original records regarding "H" Company of the Ninth Regiment of Kansas Volunteer Cavalry under the command of Captain Thomas P. Killen. The collection covers from September 1861 to September 1864 and contains 61 hand-written documents regarding the activities of "H" Cavalry Company during the Civil War. Also available are records of all the officers and enlisted men that were a part of the company.|
