This letter is part of the larger Edwin and Pearl (Lewison) Hesby Collection, available at the Center for Western Studies. The collection consists of correspondences, diaries, scrapbooks, financial documents, and photo albums. The collection is largely centered on Pearl Lewison. Pearl's personal records begin around 1918 when she graduated from Sioux Rapids High School and continue until her death in 1981. Of particular interest are Pearl's diaries, which start in 1933 and continue until 1980, and her correspondence. Correspondence including depression era love letters from Edwin to Pearl, while Edwin was farming in Arlington, South Dakota (1936-1939).
