Meeting report, taken by Secretary Florence Siegfriedt, August 7 and August 21, the Camp Remington Association gatherings. During the August 7 meeting members discussed construction of a new toilet and the Forest Service denial of a new cabin site. The financial report and selection of a treasurer were discussed on August 21, as were future maintenance, fees and ban on camping.
Collection Description
This is a part of the larger Camp Remington Association collection, available at the Center for Western Studies. The Camp Remington Association is an organization that manages the Camp Remington location in the Black Hills for the Episcopal Diocese of South Dakota. The materials largely relate to Camp Remington between the years of 1950 and 1980. It includes photographs of several bishops who presided over the diocese during this time, as well as, correspondence between people who were associated with the camp. These materials were specifically gathered by members of the organization as preparatory research for the history of the camp they published: ''A Little Bit of Heaven: History and Memoirs, Camp Remington, 1922-2012.'' A copy of this title is available in the Krause Library at the Center for Western Studies.
