The Leonard Y. Tripp Papers consist of articles, photographs, and monographs written by Leonard Tripp, a former college professor, reflecting his interest in the Yankton Trail, steamboats on the Missouri River, street railways in South Dakota, the stonecutting industry in Sioux Falls, and other aspects of South Dakota history. The majority of the collection consists of papers with titles such as “Street Railways of South Dakota,” “Sioux Falls Aviation History,” and “The Drake Stone Polishing Works…”
