The Sioux Falls Municipal Band Collection covers the band's existence since its founding in 1919. Board minutes start from 1919 and go through 1994, the band's 75th anniversary year. Included in this collection is information that Dr. Leland Lillehaug used to write, "Music for the People" a comprehensive history of the band's first 75 years. The collection also includes photographs, recordings, and other miscellaneous items. The collection includes items ranging from scrapbooks and audio recordings to meeting minutes and posters. Note: the dimensions measurement does not include artifacts or audio cassette recordings. The Sioux Falls Municipal Band Collection is available at the Center for Western Studies.
