Gerry Graff Collection, available at the Center for Western Studies, consists of materials gathered by family genealogist Gerry Graff about the history of the Colton family. The items both explain John Edmond Colton's family history, as well as document the history of the town Colton, South Dakota. Of particular note are materials on the District 62 school, the beginnings of the South Dakota Central Railroad, the Colton Courier Weekly, and the history of liquor in the city. The collection includes prepared family histories, manuscripts, photographs, obituaries, plat books, personal and business correspondence, business directories, legal papers, and warranties.
