The Elizabeth Hall Collection, available at the Center for Western Studies, consists principally of correspondence addressed to Elizabeth Hall. The letters are primarily from three sources: her father (Thomas Hall), Captain William Beer of the 101st Ohio Infantry Regiment, and Farlin Ball (her husband-to-be at the time); other included letters are to Bertie, Elizabeth's son. Farlin's courtship letters are of interest from the standpoint of modern romantic correspondence. The collection also contains scans and transcriptions of the letters. The microfilm portion contains copies of the letters. Note: the dimension measurement does not include microfilm.
