LAST spring we left here with the hope of having a street car ride the first thing on our return in the fall. We were dis-appointed for a time ; yet on Oct. 5th, our hopes were realized. There are two cars running in the city at the present time. The one that benefits us the most runs from Phillips Ave. and as far as Dr. Perkins', on S. Summit Ave. By thanks .- CONTENTS. MONDAY afternoon, Sept. 30th, the Lutheran Normal School Mission society had its first regular meeting this year. The following program was rendered : Hymn No. 445. Invocation. Organ solo Agnes Grevstad. Lecture. — "A visit to Salt Lake City." Rev. Vangsnes. Mendelssohn Arr. The speech by Rev. Vangsnes was very instructive and interesting. The society should have met Sunday evening, but as Rev. Vangsnes could not be pre-. sent then it was postponed till Monday afternoon. L. N. S. was represented by Prof. Mikkelsen and Prof. Christianson at De-corah, Oct. 14th. Prof. Mikkelsen also attended the Conference. "MAKE hay while the sun shines," might almost be parodied so as to .read "play tennis and basketball while the sun shines." We have now two tennis courts Exchanges Personal and Local Octette. — "Consolation." Collection. Hymn No. 43. Benediction.
