The all-new two-hour show will begin 9 p.m., Saturday, February 14 in the gym. The show, sponsored jointly by the Union Board of Governors and Associated Women Students, is open to the public. Joey Edmonds, a male nurse from Milwaukee, and Thom Curley, a social worker from Oshkosh, Wis., met at college where the two were entertainers at fraternity parties. In January of last year the two teamed together to become professionals. They have appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show, the Mery Griffin Show and the Tonight Show several times. "Happy Valentine's Day" From The Photographic Department and the Mirror Dates PETITIONS DUE— Fri. Feb. 13—Midnight CONVENTION— Feb. 17-18 7:00 p.m. ELECTION— Feb. 25 Curley is the "freaky" half of the team who is best remembered for his sound effects and improvisations. Edmonds is the straight man and the star pantominist. The team has often been compared to the Smothers Brothers. Although the two are not related, Edmonds claims they are "very close" and adds, "Heaven help me, I'm even beginning to understand Thom's mind!" During the sixteen days of their Midwestern and Western tour, the Band and Brass Choir presented concerts at various college and high school auditoriums. While presenting the modern and dissonant "Music For Prague 1968" by Karel Husa at the Modesto High School Auditorium, Modesto, California, the Band managed a tone of sufficient power to cause a large spotlight to crash downward just a few feet from their director. Vol. 51, No. 17 Rap groups are new experience Do you feel that there isn't anyone around on campus who you can talk to? Would you like to be able to rap about those things which are im-portant to you or any-thing else? Well, your chance has come. Some groups are going to be formed which for lack of a better word will be called "Share Groups". If you would like to get together with some others and talk, meet in the lounge of the Commons on Monday, February 16, at 6:00 p.m. Be there and we will see what can be done about getting these "groups" going.
